filled with sacred atmosphere
good place to walk around

 
Kinkakuji Temple

unique and gorgeous tiled with gold leaf
not so interesting as a whole
not appropriate for UNESCO World Heritage
notorious for greed 
Kiyomizudera Temple

always full of tourists
great view from famous stage
large area with some attractions
Kosanji Temple

located deep in the mountains
harmonising well with nature
relatively quiet

Nijo Castle
Ninnaji Temple

marvellous five-storey pagoda
impressive statues
less crowded

Nishihonganji Temple
Ryoanji Temple
Saihoji Temple
Shimogamo Jinja Shrine

beautiful architecture
